Khalistan Chants Halt Himachal Buses? BJP Alleges Sword-Wielding Threats
Himachal Pradesh Update: Tensions have flared anew between Himachal Pradesh and Punjab. In a fiery accusation, Jai Ram Thakur, Himachal’s Opposition Leader, charged in the state assembly that pro-Khalistan agitators from Punjab were sowing discord in his region. “They’re halting HRTC buses in Punjab, plastering them with posters, and flashing swords to scare drivers,” he declared during the session.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu echoed the concern, warning that troublemakers were bent on tainting Himachal’s peace. He pledged to raise the issue with Punjab’s Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann.

Bhindranwale Backers Stir Trouble in Himachal
Thakur pointed fingers at followers of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, alleging they’d defaced HRTC buses bound for Punjab with posters of their icon.

In the last 48 hours, these images surfaced on state-run buses at Hoshiarpur and various Punjab depots, leaving HRTC drivers rattled.

Himachal Police have reportedly cracked down on the culprits. Whispers in the media suggest that Punjab bikers, waving flags of outlawed groups, have also roared into Himachal’s borders.

Shockingly, witnesses claim the poster-wielding group brandished swords while shouting “Bhindranwale Zindabad” and “Khalistan Zindabad” in defiant chorus.

So far, Punjab’s government has stayed silent. As Sukhu promises talks with Mann, the Opposition is seizing the moment to grill his administration in the assembly.
